DSG Builder Group of Saratoga, an industry-leading general contractor based in Saratoga Springs, has a new name and has expanded its leadership team with the welcome addition of two new partners, Larry DeThomasis and Christopher Bucher.

DSG Construction and Remodeling, Inc. founded by Dave Gadomski in 2017, specializes in high-end custom homes, historical renovations, and remodels completed with a meticulous eye for detail. Their spectacular homes have been featured in the Saratoga Springs Showcase of Homes for several years (and they won the Favorite Luxury Home Runner-up award in 2022!).

“My pot was overflowing with water,” said Gadomski. “As we started doing more historical renovations and custom high-end building, the people just kept on coming.” DSG Construction’s portfolio exemplifies projects with superior scope, masterful millwork, and flawless finishes that attract discerning clientele.   

Managing the Building Process

Before joining DSG Builder Group, DeThomasis and Bucher, both Capital Region natives, teamed up at a Saratoga auto dealership, which is where Gadomski first met them seven years ago while searching for a new truck. 

Larry DeThomasis has a degree in finance from Siena College and is from a family experienced in the construction trades (his father was a contractor, and his uncle is skilled in Italian masonry). For more than 20 years, he has been developing the talents that are now proving beneficial to DSG Builder Group’s unique approach to luxury homebuilding.

Chris Bucher also has decades of dealership experience and was one of the youngest Executive General Managers in the industry. While handling daily operations at the dealership, he developed the organizational skills that he’s now using to help DSG Builder Group streamline their workflow.

By integrating best-in-class Houzz Pro industry software, Bucher is organizing architectural design plans, product selections, estimates, and schedules to make the build process more efficient from start to finish. By successfully utilizing these and other tools, clients receive clearer, more detailed communications, and DSG Builder Group can complete projects within budget, on an accelerated timeline, while remaining responsive to each person’s needs.

“Our goal is to reduce the time it takes to complete a project so we can effectively improve the customer experience,” said Bucher.

In addition to expanding their leadership team, DSG Builder Group has contracted with Interior Designs Atelier’s owner Linda Gerace Skinner and Senior Designer Diane Meyer to create impactful and visually appealing interior designs for high-performance homes that blend sophistication with individuality to produce exceptional outcomes.
